The original concept before there was even a thought of the Merle Travis Music Center, was to build a building for the thumbpickers of Muhlenberg County to have a nice meeting place. That thought eventually turned into creating a nice auditorium that the community could rent for events while still having a nice place for the thumbpickers. We would like you to consider using the Merle Travis Music Center for your event.
The inside of the Merle Travis Music Center has a lobby and features a 321 seat auditorium with stage lights and built in sound system. There is also a green room behind the stage.
